We were thrilled to be given the opportunity to work on this very prestigious development in Dorchester, the former site of Eldridge Pope Brewery, namely Brewery Square.

At the heart of Brewery Square is “Screen On The Square” a £3million three screen cinema and MS&D were tasked to manufacture and install the imposing 1.6m high 316 grade brushed stainless steel letters that dominate the Portland stone clad facade.

Structural calculations and a complex installation solution had to be designed due to the size and weight of each letter and to ensure no visible fixings particularly as the rear of the letters are viewed from close quarters by cinema goers on the glazed mezzanine floor behind.

Site conditions were at times somewhat challenging and the installation had to be carried out from a scissor lift and articulated boom so the Health & Safety element was always paramount.
